The Secretary

Continuing the follow up information:

What my father told me about the Secretary
"The Secretary is Daugherty furniture.  Uncle Jacks sister wille mae gave him that piece of furniture.  Whether it belonged to their parents before that or not I dont know.  After that, Jack either gavce or sold it to Aunt Dot and Uncle Frank.  I cant remember it ever being in Aunt Wibbas house.  My first recollection of it is seeing it sitting in the living quarters of the Stewards Mill Store and then it was on the front porch to the store because Uncle Frank was refinishing it.  This was probably about 1965 because that is about the time Aunt Dot and Uncle Frank remodeled Granny's and Granddaddy's house and moved there from the store.  It sat beside the staircase in Aunt Dots living room.  Mother knew I liked it so she wrote on the back of it "Happy Birthday to Mike from Aunt Wibba and Uncle Jack"  When Verna Bonner called me to come and get the bedroom furniture for Carajo, I got the secretary at the same time claiming it on the basis of that inscription."

I had this when I was younger in my bedroom growing up.  Its nice to have it back again
