The Straight Flush Saw

Here is something neat I saw on a tool blog the other day, a circular saw, designed by a contractor, to do work flush up to the wall.  Its interesting because the blade is not only exposed more than usual, its also larger to allow you to cut through (2) 2x4's.

Check out the link, and the video with it.

  1. Thanks DD for the support on our Straight Flush Saw, if i might add to your comment, We are in process of getting manufacturing together. this saw will be 100% American made. not only can it cut right against a wall. but compare it's use to an undercut saw. better control and safer to use due to the side table design you have better control, and with our trigger actuated lower guard. full control! no need to ever pin the guard back again. i understand that there are some safety concerns about the blade exposure from some people. although we have been using exposed bladed tools for many decades, we did design a fully encased "dust extraction cover" that is easily removable. leave it on when using the saw for standard cutting, quickly remove it to get your zero clearance cut on! check our our FB page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Straight-Flush-Saw/111424322253749 and our Web Site www.StraightFlushSaw.com for more details. and see how this saw will save you time and money!
    thanks for checking it out!

  2. I just watched the video on straightflushsaw.com; I need one like 20 years ago. Can't wait to get one in my hands. The special features and safety features are very well thought out, and I wouldn't feel that it would be any less safe than a chain saw, or undercut saw, and I would be happy to use it. I look forward to see what else these guys come up with...
