So I have a Paslode framing nailer, It has been great to me and I love it.
Well I pull it out the other day to use it and it wont fire. Hmmmm. The battery light is green and the fan is spinning so I know the power is good. I can smell propane so I know the gas is good, what could be going on?
I pull the thing apart, looking to see if something needs to be cleaned and everything inside looks spic and span. I bang on the side to see if the switch is stuck, nothing.
When you press it against the wood the fan spins, but no spark.
I continue to do some digging and run across something I should have realized and feel really stupid about. The gas canisters have a expiration date on them. Mine are almost 2 years past that date.
sooooooo, I run to the store and pick up some gas and BOOM!. Works great.
whats the rule we learned from this today kids? When you run wont fire, always check the gas!
