These are called "Roll-on, Roll-off" ships. There are a pair of them sitting in the dock on the west coast. They are HUGE ships made to carry lots of heavy machinery around the world. Only problem, they are too big and too heavy, they cant make it to where they need to without being met in the middle of the ocean with a tanker to fill it up with fuel again (how is it we can send aircraft carriers around the world and all they need is av fuel, but we build these ships like idiots)
So here they are, parked and rotting away and the US tries to sell them to someone. Its ok, they have only been sitting on this dock for 8 years or so, I am sure someone will come along and buy them.....
and we wonder why our deficit is so large....
