Why today is just like the 1920's

While in San Francisco we stumbled upon a cartoon gallery that we walked through for a bit.  It was quite interesting, had a lot of classic cartoons that I read as a child.  There was bugs bunny playing on a TV in the back, for the little kids, which of course got M and I to stop and watch.  D came around the corner and we were cracking up over talking about the series of cartoons (that actually wasnt playing) with Bugs, Daffy and Elmer about "duck season, rabbit season, FIRE"

Here is the video

ANYWAY, that has nothing to do with why the 20's are like today, just thought I would share and everyone else could get a kick out of that, and now, back to our regularly scheduled program.

While there, I found a cartoon, drawn in the 20's that I thought shared the exact sentiment of today.  The signs says no cameras so I did not take a picture.  Later I scoured the internt and found someone who had taken a picture

Obviously the picture is heard to see in the photograph, but you can see people pushing their cars over a cliff into the water.  The caption at the bottom reads....

"IF THE PRICE OF GAS GETS ANY HIGHER....."

Maybe this guy was on to something!
