M's New Gun

as I mentioned earlier in the year, we bought M his first real gun..

definitely-going-down-rabbit-hole

as I predicted, it wouldnt be long before we would be looking for him another gun.  While at one of our many family Christmas celebrations, I mentioned to Uncle Mike that we were looking for M a new gun.  When they were leaving Mike told M that he couldnt come back and see him until he had bought another gun.  He was messing with him of course, and was using that because I had told him we were looking for another gun, but of course M was worried now...  It was so funny.

We had been looking at a few places around home, handnt found what we wanted for the price we were willing to pay, while were were on vacation we went to a place called The Gun Room, which was a cool place with a good selection of new and used guns, but did not find anything there that was worth buying a case to bring home with us.  We even went to Gunsmoke (the place they shoot American Guns, the TV show) but did not find anything there either.  I will have to say, I was impressed that the "stars" of the TV show were actually there behind the counter helping people.  Apparently fame has not gotten to their heads yet (thank god)  there were a ton of people in the store, mostly people just gawking and buying T-shirts, and a few people trying to figure out if the gun they were handed down through generations is worth a million dollars...  ANYWAY - point is, we didnt find anything there either.

After we returned back to native soil, we found out the Fort Worth Gun show was going on.  Supposed to be the largest gun show in the area, so we decided to head that way.  As we arrived, looking at the number of cars there, I said to the LOML, "all these people cant be here for the gun show..."  We parked and walked over to the building and paid our way in, and after walking through the door, the words that came to me were, "Oh My Lord"  I could not believe there were so many people there.  We were there only about 45 minutes after it opened!

Well long story short  (TOO LATE)

M found a gun.

Its a GORGEOUS WInchester 9422 22 Magnum.  From looking up the serial number its from 73-74 time period and the action feels smooth as glass.   We bought it from Blast and Past  (yes, you're right, I did buy one of my 94's from them)

We have not had a chance to shoot it yet, but soon we will.

On our way back from the gun show we stopped to buy some ammo for it, and the others...

and decided to go ahead and buy a hard case so that we could carry a couple of guns with us on a trip when the urge arises

All in all it was a very gun filled day
