so JP has a new to her house, and as all houses do, they have a few issues, which she is in the process of working on. One problem she had is the return vents for the Air Con.
What was on there almost looked worse than nothing, and functioned much worse than nothing...
Of course the problem is than none of the "standard" registers fit in that opening, height or width so some work had to be done.
I did a quick frame out of 1/2" wood and pocket screws to give the registers something to mount to, and used my new Paslode Cordless 16 Gauge Finish Nailer to attach it inside the current hole.
Then cut back the baseboard, cut a new piece to fill the gap on the bottom that tied to the current baseboards, attached the 2 outside registers in with screws and use T-nuts on the middle one which should make it easy to remove the middle one when needed.
A little paint on that bottom piece of trim and I think it will look pretty good.
