or at least, if these arrows were fletched, they would be straight...
You can see that some of these arrows... well...
Well, they are missing something....
I have been looking at fletching jigs and such and trying to figure out what to do (I'm like that, do the research, figure out what is right, make the best decision I can) and well the fact is I am stuck. So for the short term I decided to go for quick and easy.
I cleaned off the old crap...
and slipped on "quick fletch twisters" I bought at Cabelas
Arrows on the left are original, on the right are the ones with the quick fletch sleeve on them.
Instructions tell you to dunk them in boiling water, and let them dry, so with the help of some of my wife's tools, we boiled some water and poured it in a thermal cup and I dunked each arrow in the boiling water for 10 seconds and voila!
I could have probably done it with a heat gun after seeing how it works, it just seems to be heat shrink with the fletching already attached.
I have not shot them yet, we will see how they shoot and when I screw one up, how easy they are to remove and replace.
