I can see the light!

and that's not a good thing

I climbed up in the attic the other day to put some crap up there  (ok, I guess I could say it a nicer way, but its the truth)

and I could see daylight.

And seeing daylight through the roof in the attic is not a good thing.

Turns out this was the culprit

No, not that vent

No, not that one either

Nope, still not right

YEP, the only one left, the black one.

Its the are inlet / vent for the tankless water heater in the attic.  Turns out that the rubber seal on it failed and it was letting all sorts of things through...

Which in case I havent said this, is a bad thing.

Luckily, we know a good roofer guy  (because we know a good hospital also and I dont want to go there because I am an idiot and fell off the roof)

Guy came out, did the proper, long term fix, and all was right with the world again.
