When I went in to post it by hand because the schedule thing doesnt work, it wasnt blank
but then when it posted, it was blank
THANKS GOOGLE - really appreciate this...
I am really close to jumping ship here.....
really close...
so anyway, on to the story from the other day.
Most everyone who reads this blog, both people, know about the Fireplace project in our Master Bedroom.
Once the walls were all insulated, we now needed to have the drywall replaced.
With everything we have going on right now with work, and home, and baseball and all that, I made the executive decision that we would pay someone to put in the drywall, and tape and bed, and texture.
Also I was quite concerned about this as it is exactly where you look when you walk in the room, and I didnt want to look at a line in the wall for the coming years.
so we contacted a guy and had him come over and do the work and...
He did a terrible job
He put the drywall over the plugs and switches and plates and all that, pushing the boxes back in the wall (I set them proud of the studs so they would be flush with the drywall) The tape job sucked, the texture job sucked, and I could easily see the line where the new drywall was.
So now we are going to have to cut the drywall out around the plugs and switches, sand on the transition, re-mud the transition, and then redo the texture
needless to say I am not happy, it will take us more effort to fix what he did rather than just do it the first time.
This is what I get for slacking off and not doing it my damn self...
and expecting someone to do something right...
UGGGGG
DD
(no, I am not posting pictures of the bad job, its too frustrating to be reminded of)
