We finally get a plumber over to work on a plan for the new gas line so we can turn it into the city so we can get the permit approved. He is going to home run the line from the gas meter, no surprise, thats what we did when the tankless water heater got put in, he can piggy back on there. He decides that our meter is not big enough for the draw we will make. I dont really get it because we only have a gas water heater, 2 gas heaters, gas dryer, gas fireplace (downstairs), a gas cooktop, gas heater for the pool and now we are going to add another gas fireplace..
OK, maybe we have a lot pulling on there after all
Well we called our gas company to come out and eval what our draw was and if the meter was big enough and all that. My wife was worried about the cost of trading out the meter. I told her to make sure and wear a short skirt and high heels when the guy came by to make sure the cost wouldnt be that much...
Well, apparently the short skirt and high heels worked, :)
our new, up sized gas meter.
And we turned in the plan for the gas run to the city and its all approved, so now we have the plumber scheduled to come in and get the line run
Then I can get the electrical done
Then I can get the hole cut in the brick for the vent
Then I can mount, vent, plumb, etc the fireplace and get it functional (not that we need it)
Then I can get the drywall / insulation repaired
Then I can paint the room
Then I can replace the flooring
Then I can re-do all the trim in the room
by the time I am done with all that it will be 10 years from now anyway
OK, maybe not 10 years from now, maybe 8
