The LOML

I realized the other day, I have not said lately what a great woman the LOML is.

She not only puts up with all my crap, (which is a lot)

but she takes care of Big Country.  She makes sure he gets up on time, chauffeurs him all over the world for school, practice, lessons, practice, and games.  She feeds him (which is a job in itself some days) and in general does her best to make sure he is a contributing member to society.

She puts up with Jake, which is a monumental task.

Point is, she really is an amazing woman.

especially because she puts up with Jake.


Thats it,  dont want to talk about tools or anything, just wanted to say that.

since you are here though, have I mentioned the fact that she and I have kind of gotten hooked on estate sales?

No?

Well, we have.  Or I guess I should say I have and I would guess she has.  She would have to speak to the level of which she was hooked, because maybe she isnt hooked as much as I am hooked, or maybe she is hooked simply because of me, or maybe she isnt hooked at all and she is just doing this because she is the amazing woman I was mentioning above.

point is, estate sales = cool in my book.

Each week, she will go digging through the listings, dig through pictures, and text me links to sales to look at.

Then, she drives to them, sometimes at a pretty good distance, to see what might be cool

and do you know whats awesome?

She texts me pictures of stuff that is cool.

not just misc crap, or any tools, she has a great eye for things I would be interested in.  And over time has gotten even better as we have both been to many sales.

and she finds some of the best stuff and gets just amazing pricing on it.

(there is a great story about me going to pick up this bench by myself...  but you probably dont want to hear that.  It is a funny story though)

I would say most of the usual estate sale people in the Dallas area know who she is by now.

they say the road to a man's heart is his stomach.

Personally, I think its his toolbox.
