so I use Google reader to keep up with websites, blogs, or feeds I want to read. Makes it easy to keep up with work things and personal things from a single place.
Obviously I have a lot of tool blogs I follow there, some I read every time, some I scan through, some, well some I need to delete, but thats a whole nother story
well, I ran across this post the other day
Power tools in the bathtub
Its a story of a guy who runs a pretty popular tool blog, who doesn't have enough space for the tools in his apartment...
And he talks about the delay on how long its taking him to review some of the tools that PR reps have sent him to do review on. (translation, free tools)
Maybe I'm focusing on the wrong thing, maybe I should use my newly purchased space (you know, the Allin Place) and run a tool blog where I actually USE the tools that I review. Maybe I could build things and talk about the tools I use to build them, or the tools I had to buy to do them. Maybe I could work on things that people run across every day and not just special projects designed to support the tool they have been provided.
Wait, I do that now, I just dont have ads on my blog, and dont have people send me tools for free.
hmmmm
obviously I need to make some adjustments to something here
