well the point it, my blades were dull, what do I do? go out and buy new blades? That seems wasteful.
how about finding a sharpening service, maybe even one that will come pick them up from you and drop them back off.

Yep, was able to get all of the blades that I care about sharpened just like new for about the price of a new premium blade. It included pickup and delivery from my home, and from what I can tell so far they did a good job.
Once I work the blades a little more I will come back with more info, and I will give you the name of the people that did it. (if I find they did a good job)
Oh yeah, all the red stuff around the blades is a plastic they drip on there to keep the tips from being damaged.
