Society Today

I am sure you have already read this somewhere, but I am going to post it again.

Man wins $1.5m in first of its kind saw case

Essentially a guy injured himself while using a Ryobi tablesaw and blames ryboi for it.  Says the saw should have come with "flesh detecting technology"  Hmm, you think that saw would have been $99.00 at Home Depot had it had that on it?  Think he would have been able to afford to put in the floors at all if the saw had it?

This is part of the problem with the world today, everyone want to blame someone else for their mistakes.  If this guy did not pay attention enough to what he was doing while using a table saw, why is it the manufacturers fault?  Why can't the guy take responsibility for what he has done?  Why does this mean a big payday for him?

Here are a couple of links to where people are talking about it.
