Do unto others.......

I realize that there seem to be less Christians in the world today, and there seem to be less people raising their children as Christians today, but we put a lot of effort towards raising our child to be a good christian boy.  In Christianity there is the Golden Rule.  "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"  Seems pretty straight forward.  Treat people the same way you would expect to be treated.

Unfortunately this is a foreign concept to most people these days.  People are so self centered they do not care about how they treat people and what affect it has on them.  I am no stranger to people not giving a damn about how they treat other people and I'm pretty thick skinned when it comes to that.  Where my skin gets real thin, real quick, is when people treat my son badly.  now lets clarify here, I'm not talking about pushing hard and making kids work for something and expecting a lot of out them, that is what I do to my son already.  I am talking about treating people the way you would treat a old dishrag, just no sense of caring for them as a human being at all.

Do people not realize what they do has a tremendous affect on children and what they want and how they think?  Are they so self centered that they cannot see what they are doing or do they just not care?  We have raised our child to be a good, honest person and I hate the fact that sometimes that means people can take advantage of him.  Because he's not some pain in the ass, annoying, loudmouth, little kid.

What really gets me is this came from someone I thought had the right attitude and the right personality and all of that.  Seemed like someone who would be good to teach my son a few things.  Because of that my guard was down (totally my fault) and I got bit and I got bit hard.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not judging them, maybe they had a reason to humiliate our child the way they did.  I am shocked though that at 8 years old my child has to deal with the bad side of politics and favoritism.  I guess any time you are involved in organized sports, you will find coaches that have their head shoved so far up their butt that they just cant see the light
