yep, a Jet 16-32 Plus Drum Sander. I have been looking for a drum sander for awhile now, searching craigslist and ebay and such. I just have not found one at the right time for the right price. That changed yesterday.
Craigslist add said the guy sucked at woodworking so he was selling all his tools. They were all Jet tools and he had a 16" bandsaw, 10" tablesaw, dust collector, shaper, air filter and dust collector. I sent him an email letting him know I was interested with my contact info and a few hours later he called me and we worked out a meeting time. Luckily his place was on my way home from work.
Went there, looked at a few items and decided the drum sander was really the only thing I was interested in and we made a deal. The price wasnt a steal by any means, but it was a good deal compared to buying one new, and it came with 5 rolls of pre-cut paper for it
Brought it home and LOML helped me unload it into the garage. Wrapped some paper on it and ran some wood through it and it worked great. Flat across the drum, conveyor belt is tracking smooth, all looks good. I still need to make a mobile base for it and find a deal on infeed and outfeed tables for it, but this comes at a very good time for me since I will need this to work on the "secret project"
