Rainy Day

Well today I was traveling out of town for work, but not until later in the day so I thought it would be good to get out and lay the rest of the bricks on the Bell Project.  Rain and thunder and lighting and tornado sirens and all that stopped me from even coming close to getting anything done with that.  Hopefully it will clear up by the weekend so I can work on it then.

I did end up getting all the pieces for the secret project sanded or planed down to the right thickness.  I took all the short pieces that wont go through the planer and put them through my new to me drum sander, which worked great by the way, and then took the longer pieces and put them through my planer.  I setup a table (actually one of my parents old tables from the move, but dont tell them, they would be horrified if they new I was using it in the Garage to stack crap on, although I did cover the top with a towell)

Next I started working on getting them trimmed to match my templates.  I planed on doing the 6/4 pieces with a flush/trim router bit but apparently my router bit was really dull so I ended up tearing out some of the end grain and caused more work for me than I had started the day out with,  Love that
