Continuation of D's B -day present

Well for D's B-day I bought her a Blu Ray surround sound system.  I have the center channel speaker up and I buried the Left and Right speakers above the cabinets where the sound will reflect, but you cant see the speakers.  Now its on to work on the surround speakers

I decided against using the speakers that came with the kit and bought some Polk in wall speakers to put in the ceiling.

I had a old hole in the ceiling (long story) that I decided to cut around in one corner to place the speaker

Then I made measurements to I coule make the other one symmetrical to that one

and that is where I made my mistake.  You can see the back door in the photo, and I should have realized that the back wall of the family room is not the same as the back wall of the upstairs

so as I cut the hole I was in the roof area and not in the ceiling area.

DAMMIT!!!  of course now I have drywall repair to do.......



I still have to make a hole above the entertainment center so I can run the wires needed in the ceiling from A to B, but at least I am making progress.
