When we last visited our faithful string trimmer, it was stuck in limbo land with a busted flywheel (you have to read that with a old cartoon narrator voice, you just have to, so quick whining and go back and read it right!)
for those who dont remember, The string trimmer broke, I put parts on it, in the process broken another part and had to order it also.
Well I got the flywheel in, which of course was different than the old one. The old one had a removable key, the new one had a fixed key. Whether it was that or something else, it would not sit as far down and hence the flywheel rubbed the plastic housing when the unit was assembled.
Luckily I was able to use some modified washers to offset the plastic housing enough to keep everything from rubbing
After that I was able to re-assemble everything and get it going again. Used it for a couple of hours that day with no issues.
It now can join its rightful place back in the shed.
