Making things right....

My wife is telling me one day about this wooden file shelf at work that is "broke and wont roll and...."  of course my answer is, I can fix it.

Fast forward a few weeks and she borrows my truck so she can bring it hom from the office.

As it turns out it had a few problems
   1) The casters on it could not hold the weight that was being put on it
   2) The casters were just screwed into the end grain of some pine 1x material, not strong enough to do what it needed to do
   3) There was some cracks in the side from people pushing or pulling it with the improper casters on it.

Of course I'm going lets build another one or buy something but then I saw this

and I realized I had to repair it.  You see she no longer works there, because she is no longer with us.  The right thing to do, is to make this right again.

So after repairing the cracks, adding a new pine caster board, putting high quality casters on it (from McMaster Carr) and staining the new wood to match the old, it looks like this

It now rolls well and will last much longer back at the office
