The trials and tribulations of Log Furniture, AKA who not to order furniture from

First let me say, I would not sugest buying Log Furniture from "JHE's the real log furniture place"  Otherwise known as logfurnitureplace.com

Let me back up a bit.  The LOML has been looking at some more teak furniture to put on our pergola to replace the folding chairs that are out there.  When we were in TN last I mentioned to her we should look at log furniture to put out there (lets not get into the "why dont I make them thing, thats a big, long, drawn out thing and will get us no where)

So she finds the furniture and orders it.  The company says they are going to ship it UPS, which we assume to be UPS freight.  As it turned out it was shipped via R&L carriers who are terrible when it comes to home deliveries.  We had a huge ordeal where we waited for them to come deliver the stuff for a complete day and they never arrived.  They never called to give us a status and when we called (multiple times) we got everything from "he will be there" to "everyone has already gone home"  The next day with much frustration on our part we were able to get R&L to actually deliver the product.

What did the vendor do about it?  Nothing!  Shipping was free so there was not much we could ask for there.  I thought they should do something on the price of the gear, they did not agree.

Then it gets better, I go to put the chairs together and some of the hardware that is needed is not there, so we end up having to wait another week to finalize one of the chairs.  Do we get anything for that?  NO!

so my suggestion, dont waste you money with these people, their concept of customer service is take your money and leave you hanging

oh yeah, here are the chairs and bench on the Pergola
