Had some time off on a Saturday so we packed up all our stuff and headed to the rifle range early on a Saturday morning... This time, we were both shooting. I had my new .30-.30 with a couple boxes of 150 grains. M had his Henry and that box of bullets is getting awful low!
M has enough practice he can re-load without help and did well shooting.
He is still pulling high right on his gun, I may just end up scooting the scope over a bit to help with what...
I did pretty good with my new-to-me gun...
First 20 bullets
Second 20 bullets
I did much better through the end of the first box and through the second because I finally got my head low enough to get a good site picture. In the beginning I had the front of the gun up too high which was obviously causing me all kinds of problems. The gun had a good kick to it, but not too bad in my opinion.
The last bullet I had, I loaded up and set M up to shoot the gun. I worked with him to make sure he had a firm grip and all that. The range officer was standing behind us with a grin on his face. M pulled the trigger and that gun kicked and I started dyin laughing. The Range office had a good chuckle with it also.
Here's the hit on his target
and just for grins.... the difference between the ammo for his henry and the ammo for my winchester
