One Damn Bolt, just One Damn Bolt!

so the other day on my way back from Austin, driving my trusty truck, I stopped at a Rest stop and when I went to start the truck it wouldnt start.

I pull the wrench out of my console and tighten the positive battery cable, and off we go.

I had to stop at the office and drop off some things, I go to leave the office, and thats right, yet again, It wouldnt start.  Tighten the positive battery cable, and off we go.

HMMM.

no other problems that day,

Next day, D goes to CCA with the 2nd load and we put it in my truck and she goes to leave, and yes, wont start.   So while she goes to CCA, I go to the parts store.

I pick up these

popped the old bolt out of the cable and put in the new one, no problem.  Hard to see in this picture, but the old bolt literally had no threads on it at all anymore.

Course it is almost 10 years old, so I guess its due,

But just weird.  When I did some searches on-line, I found that a lot of people with my series vehicles have this problem..

HMMM...

well I bought 2 this time so i would have it for next time it happens,  assuming I still have this truck in another 10 years.  I hope I do
