Good Bye Cruel World

I have had this tape measure for probably 20 years now

its your basic fake contractor grade tape measure that i bought at the orange box.

But alas, it is no more...

for you see, it is quite torn, and with this, it will not roll up anymore

so I must say good bye to my trusty tape measure.

and hello to my new one  (one can never have too many tape measures, especially someone always comes behind me and moves them and puts them down in strange places and i can never find them)

really, that happens, people do that to me.  They are invisible people of course, but they are there, I know it

anyway, so one of the many times I was at the box store, I bought a new tape measure that would serve me another 20 years

or so I thought

(yes, I bought another stanley bin because the bin I carry my misc screws around in broke,  I know, 10 years of carrying around 100 pounds of screws and the hinge broke, its terrible)

so I get the tape measure home and realize the belt clip is broken on it hmmmm

so I take it back and return it and when I go looking again, I decide to look at one that wasnt made out of all plastic...

so this is what I ended up with

more info on that down the road, the jury is still out
