As always, the problem I have is time. but what keeps me going is eventually, I make progress.
One of the things I wanted, scratch that, NEEDED, for the shop was a good air compressor.
I knew where to get it. Dickson Tool in Irving. The problem was when, and how.
Both of these were a problem because 1) I never have time and 2) the compressor I wanted would not fit in my truck.
So one day I MADE time and fixed the how at the same time.
Yep, bought a trailer. 5x10, Bar top, removable ramp, Its a Big Tex Trailer. Very well built, good price, and good people to deal with.
Then I drove to see my friend at Dickson Tool and walked away with this.
Its a CH 80 gallon with a "5" horse motor (of course, its not really a 5 horse motor, but thats another story) 150 PSI and 15 CFM @ 100 PSI. Should be everything I ever need.
As I was by myself, I drove it out to the hanger and dropped the whole thing off
Once I could get some help, we got it unloaded and put where it goes.
Then, some time later (because as I mentioned, time is not on my side most days) I got all the pieces I needed to get it wired up and temporarily plumbed.
Runs great, not that loud, and made a TON of air.
and now all I need is time so I can use those air tools I have and work on that truck!
Hmm, maybe now I can get that blasting cabinet, or maybe a plasma cutter......
