Maintenance

I know, it may be boring to deal with maintenance to your "things" , but the fact is you take care of your things and they will last you a long time.

It will be even more boring, because the below will be about maintenance to lawn equipment.

I know, I understand.  Its ok, I understand if you want to click away.

so I normally do maintenance on all the lawn equipment in the winter.  Use to be we didnt use all the equipment in the winter, now we have other uses and a lot of this gear gets used year round.  But I still make it a habit to work on them in the winter.

The project as a whole has gotten a lot tougher since the inventory has grown.  We now own:

(2) push mowers
(1) riding mower
(2) string trimmers
(1) blower
(1) chainsaw  (I know,  only 1.  Yes, it is embarrassing.  1,000 lashes, tarred and feathered I should be, trust me, I get it.  I need more.  How can I be a real man with only 1 chainsaw?  )
(1) pressure washer

for maintenance I change the spark plug, air filter, and change the oil.  A couple of the pieces had a few extra pieces like fuel filter, oil filter, etc.  But you get the idea.

and considering the look of the old air filter, I guess I should have done this sooner.

for the riding lawnmower, the other issue I had to deal with was the front tires.  They werent that good when I bought the mower, and they have held up, but there was no tread left and were really wearing out.

sounds easy right?  Old ones off, new ones on.

Well, it wasnt easy.

But with the right tools

It was do-able.

One more thing I should mention.  I went looking for all the parts i needed,  checking the specialized sites for each of the brands of tools, and then wondered.   Hmmmmm.

so I check amazon.  and low and behold amazon had everything I needed EXCEPT for parts for my 4 stroke Makita blower.

Not bad.  Same or better price, free shipping, Amazon customer service.

and yes, my blower is a 4 stroke.

and yes, its Makita.

anyway.

All good in my book
