update on the repair

well as I mentioned, I would update when the repair was complete

here was the pic when I finished with the piece of wood I fitted in,

here is the pic when the carpet was replaced and all the trim is put back  (had to come back in a do a "trick" to get one of the screw to go in as it had blown the hole out) but everything is good now
